What we collect

Your account details, the reviews and photos you post, and basic usage data to run and improve the service.

Location

When you are signed in and open Explore, we record your approximate location so we can show you nearby places and understand which areas the service is used in.

We store this rounded to about 1km — roughly your neighbourhood, not your address — and we keep only your most recent position. We do not build a history of where you have been, and we never share your location with other users or advertisers.

You can stop this at any time by turning off location permission for the app in your device settings; Explore still works, it just cannot centre on you. Deleting your account erases your stored location immediately.

Your device

The app tells us which platform it is running on, your operating system version, your device model (for example "iPhone 14 Pro"), and which version of the app you have. We use this to decide what to test against and when an old version needs updating.

This is a general description of a device shared by many people. We do not collect a device identifier or an advertising ID, and we cannot use this to recognise you across accounts. We keep only your current device, not a log, and deleting your account erases it.

When you use the app

We record the hour you were active in, so we can see when the service is busiest and plan maintenance and notifications around it.

We store the hour, never the minute, and never which screens you opened or what you looked at. This is deleted automatically after 90 days, and immediately if you delete your account.

How we use it

To show your reviews, personalise your feed, and keep the platform safe.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your reviews, and delete your account, at any time from your profile.
